Retesting

Retesting is performed after remediation to confirm that a vulnerability is no longer exploitable. It helps organizations validate fixes, identify incomplete patches, and ensure that security controls are working as intended. In vulnerability management and bug bounty workflows, retesting improves closure confidence, supports audit readiness, and prevents recurring exposure from weak or partial remediation.

Fix Applied → Original Steps Rechecked → Exploit No Longer Works → Closure Confirmed → Risk Closed
